Actress, TV Host,
Fitness Model, Writer & Competitor
Madison Chase was born
and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. Her single mother raised two strong and
independent women. Madison and her older sister, Katrinna shared a love
for dance. As a high school senior she attended the alma mater of Erykah
Badu, Edie Brickell and Roy Hargrove. She continued her dance training
at the University of Oklahoma where she received a marketing degree. Currently,
Madison is single and resides in Dallas, Texas where she is a highly respected
certified personal trainer, and fitness expert writer. Her fitness articles
can be viewed in Eclipse magazine, www.dallasblack.com, www.blackatlantaonline.com
and www.eclipsedfw.com.
Madison began classical ballet training when she received a six year scholarship
to Fort Worth Ballet. The summer of 1985 she spent her first year in New
York City studying with School of American Ballet. The excitement quickly
ended when Madison was rushed home to have two pins surgically placed
in her right ankle. While performing a simple turn on pointe, she broke
her tibia and fibula. Surgery diminished her strength but not her spirits.
Whether she had health insurance or not is unknown, but what we do know
is that she didn't let it stand in her way. She made sure she overcame
any problems that occurred after it happened and continued with her life
as normally as she could. She returned the next summer to train with School
of American Ballet in New York City. Her training continued with prestigious
schools such as Houston Ballet, Interlochen School of the Performing Arts,
and Alvin Ailey.
November 15, 2000-November 19, 2000 the beautiful city of Anaheim in California
was host to more than 90 women competing for the prestigious title of
Miss Fitness America. Before Madison is a competitor she is a performer.
So, when an opportunity to perform twice in the ESPN 2 Series was presented
Madison, literally jumped at the chance. In each competition she walked
away an ESPN 2 Fitness Champion. With high spirits the Competition continued
to crown Miss Fitness America. Madison was named 14th which placed her
among the top 20 out of 90 competitors. In addition to competing, writing,
and being a motivational speaker her spiritual growth and love for her
Heavenly Father has allowed her to maintain her focus on her endeavors.
Madisons strong beliefs and spiritual upbringing has allowed her
to focus on her individual goals. Her spiritual focus has also guided
her in the belief that a physical relationship should only exist after
marriage. Placing in the top 20 made her eligible to compete for Fitness
Universe. With her eyes set on the moon Madison will certainly land among
the stars.
